Most of Stephanie's adult life was spent in broadcasting, communications and public relations. After working her way into the public eye as a sports content creator, she landed her first "beat gig" with a small newspaper in Plano, Texas. She quickly caught the eye of a larger community paper which gave her a platform. She would have regular segments on Fox Sports Radio with Tony Bruno and that lead to a morning drive radio co-host and news director job in McKinney, Texas at KLAK-FM.
Naturally, the years of experience and knowledge would take her on a journey that had her assisting and advising many Dallas names. She's led campaigns, rallied communities and advised corporations. Through all of that, she always had a love of the creative.
An artist - a photographer - "a creative INTJ" - Stephanie enjoyed blending the "rules" and "boundaries" with the possibilities that lay within them. While her love of the communications industry never left her heart, she wanted to be able to get into an industry she always loved from a distance - the beauty industry.
It would be a tumor in 2011 that would give her the push to do so.
It was September when she would be diagnosed with Stage 3, Grade 3, BRCA1+ Invasive Ductal Carcinoma --- Breast Cancer. It would take nearly a full year to process through chemotherapy and the many subsequent surgeries. It was while she was sick and recovering that she watched endless episodes of Tabatha's Salon Takeover - a television show on BRAVO. While watching, she made the promise: "If I get through this, I'm going to do that." It was the blend of analytics, science and creativity that drew her to the beauty industry. Naturally, as a research fanatic, she figured the way into the business was with some proper training, first…
Six weeks after her final reconstructive surgery, Stephanie had her first day of beauty school.
Since that day, she's managed to get her license, become trained in cosmetology education and also grow in her craft - all while keeping up with her corporate understanding and appreciation of human communications. An Erin Tierney Kramp Scholar, she proudly took the time to complete an additional degree with El Centro College (Mass Communications) in Dallas, Texas. Her love of communications and beauty have blended, allowing her to be a consistent translator of "the why" to her clients and professional associates.
She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and neurotic dog, Brenden.
She also, proudly, has two adult sons, Brian & Bobby, which she will likely talk about at your next hair appointment.
